I was lucky to spend a very memorable Easter Sunday, at Rachel & Stephen's wedding. They tied the knot with a traditional Catholic service at the beautiful Sacred Heart Church in North Gosforth, with their reception afterwards at the Gosforth Marriott Hotel.
The church is particularly special to Rachel as her parents and grandparents were married there.
Stephen and his groomsmen wore their traditional military uniforms, and Stephen proudly had his medals on display.
The rain just about stayed away and allowed us to capture some photographs in the gorgeous grounds surrounding the hotel. We had the umbrellas on stand by, but in the end we didn't need them as the sun came out. I've never seen a bridal bouquet with poppies, but this was amazing!
Rachel surprised everyone (including me!) with her own speech, especially prepared which toasted Stephen as 'my hero' at the end, perfectly fitting.
Their details were beautiful, with a poppy red theme, complimented with Easter eggs. A friend had made beautiful poppy cupcakes with stunning cupcake wrappers (a very up-and-coming trend I believe!). Rachel and her family had made the table centre pieces and decor. Their tables were named after chocolates, and the guests had to hunt down the boxes of chocolates on the table to find their seat.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Robinson, wishing you all the very best for your future together.
