Vinny - 3 days old (Newcastle Newborn Photography)

So today, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this little bundle of gorgeousness, newborn baby Vinny. At just 3 days old, this little man was born 8 whole days late, but made it just in time for his newborn photoshoot with me ;-)

I had a brilliant time photographing both his Auntie Lisa & Uncle Simon's wedding and his Auntie Jackie & Uncle Michael's wedding, both last year. I knew Simon and Lisa were up to something when later at the wedding I was ushered over to speak to them (actually thought I was getting told off for something!)  a few whispers were exchanged as they had the brilliant idea of getting a gift voucher to give to the lovely Aidan & Cheryl who were expecting their first baby.  Of course I was thrilled they asked!   It is always such a pleasure to see and work with this lovely extended family, and to be there in the very beginning to meet Vinny was a complete honour.... and here he is....

He was as good as gold, and we captured a mixture of images, including him being gently wrapped up with his Dad's Newcastle United scarf. "The magpie dropped him off, not the stork, the magpie" his Dad said as I was tucking him in. I can tell this boy is going to be football MAD!!

I am looking forward to watching him grow, as I will meet him again in a few months time to capture some updated images of him at around eight months old. No doubt he will have lots of love and cuddles from his adoring family including his army of Aunties and Uncles!!

Faye and Robin (Pre-wedding shoot) York and York Museum Gardens

Last Wednesday I met Faye & Robin in York for their pre-wedding shoot. They are having a church wedding in Clayton West, Huddersfield in August, followed by their reception at Bagden Hall, which is in the next village to where I grew up! Back in January 2010 I shot the wedding of Hannah & Sam, At Anvil Hall in Gretna Green, and Faye & Robin are good friends of the couple, who recommended me to shoot their wedding, how lovely!

Faye is a keen wedding blogger herself, (See her blog here) and was very keen to have some photographs that showed their personalities and interests. The couple got engaged in York, and have spent lots of time there. It's a very special place to them and during the afternoon we got chatting about lots of memories they've had there.

Here is just a small preview of the pre-wedding shoot, with more to come soon. After a quick coffee and chat, we went to the Museum Gardens, which houses the Hospitium, which is a popular York wedding venue, then walked around the city centre, the Shambles, Cliffords Tower, York Opera House, the River. It was a dull day weather wise so I was looking for lots of colour to add in. They stopped at the market to buy some orange gerberas which are Faye's favourite, and these added a nice touch to the photographs and were very vibrant against Faye's dress.

I had a great time and am thoroughly looking forward to their wedding in August!

I will blog some more images from this shoot too!

Becca & Matt Winter Pre-wedding Photoshoot (Tynemouth)

Becca & Matt are getting married this May at St. Mary's Church in Ponteland, followed by their reception at the wonderful High House Farm Brewery, Near Matfen. They are planning a relaxed wedding with some bright colours, and I'm very excited about being part of their wedding day.

For their pre-wedding photoshoot, the couple chose the fabulous seaside town of Tynemouth, about 20 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne. Matt had proposed on Tynemouth beach when they were out for a walk (They are both into the outdoors, walking and cycling so this was a very fitting proposal!). We had planned to go onto the beach, but on the day, it was between 0-1 degree celsius and very windy, with patches of snow around (I sound like a weather girl now hehe!). The biting wind meant the beach would have been even colder, so we decided to go around the town instead.

Thank you so much to the lovely couple for braving the wind and freezing temperatures to have fun in front of the camera.

We found the park nearby which still had a touch of snow left, and had some fun with snowballs and got creative for 'the ring shot'.

We then popped into a lovely cafe for coffee and cake to warm up and chat over a few more wedding plans.

We all got on so well with lots of laughs, and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding!!
