Anna & Chris wanted a laid back winter wedding, personal to them and for me to capture some relaxed portraits of the two of them, with a candid approach to the rest of the wedding photography.
They opted not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen (besides the best man & a female friend helping Anna get ready).
Everything took place on 9th November, at the fabulous Kirkley Hall , near Ponteland. This venue has it all, beautiful rooms with fabulous grounds, but a relaxed & cosy feel for weddings, as it's an exclusive use building and not a hotel. It is also surrounded by the gorgeous Northumberland countryside.
The bouquet & button holes came from Floral Quarter, in Gosforth, with a rose & thistle theme. and Anna chose to wear a champagne coloured Essense of Australia wedding dress. The colour theme for the wedding was red, which was great for a winter wedding as it had that cosy, Christmassy-type feel.
Anna also chose to wear Irregular Choice shoes, loooove it when a bride goes for those!

Helen Stafford was on hand for Anna & her Mum's hair & make up, and also helped with the dress & champagne opening, what a star!
After their ceremony, featuring personal vows, we made our away outside to make the most of the last of the fading light, a crisp autumn/winter day. Anna chose some red wellies to ensure she not only could get around easily for her wedding photographs, but ensured the whole outfit went together!
They named the table names after places that were important to them such as where they were from, and places they'd visited. They chose not to have favours, but donated money to organisations close to their heart instead, perfect.
In the evening, guests danced away to the ceilidh band, which proved extremely popular!
