An Ellingham Hall, colourful wedding day for Sarah & Sam!

Back in July, Sarah and Sam came up to the North East from London to celebrate their big day.  Ellingham Hall is an ideal wedding venue in Northumberland, for couples who want their wedding to last for the weekend, in a relaxed style with their family and friends.

Sarah & Sam are a laid back, and extremely fun loving couple. When I arrived they were in their bride & groom personalised hoodies complete with tandem bike. 

They went for a colourful theme for the day, with the groomsmen wearing colourful socks, a beautiful bright bouquet and touches around the venue.

ND Make up  made Sarah look absolutely stunning... 

Sam & Sarah's friends provided some live music entertainment during the ceremony which was a really personal touch.

The couple surprised everyone with an AMAZING first dance, it started with 'Hey Ho' and then turned into a wonderful medley of fun..... everyone was surprised and amazed!

They then had a very popular ceilidh, which went down a storm.

Woodland Maternity Shoot in Northumberland (Katy & Tony)

In 2012 I shot Katy & Tony's fabulous wedding at All Saints Church in Rothbury and Langley Castle. 

I was absolutely thrilled for them both when they announced they were expecting, infact I bumped into them on the day they'd been for the scan, whilst out shopping, and found out the exciting news from them in person, which was so wonderful! 

I asked if Katy & Tony would be interested in having some maternity photographs taken, as I was interested in trying something new. They were, yay! 

There are a few different styles of maternity (or bump) shoots out there, and I wanted to keep in with the relaxed and fun style, and opted for the outdoor woodland location in Northumberland. 

I took a couple of props along too and they brought some of baby's little shoes to photograph as well. 

I really enjoyed this shoot and they have both been in touch to say they are very happy they decided to do this shoot. Although they'd not considered having a maternity shoot before, they are so happy to have the photographs to look back on and to show their little one when he's older!
