I've known Shona for around four years as she used to make wedding cakes. Jamie and Shona have been engaged since 2007 and I was over the moon they booked me as their wedding photographer, they were so excited to finally get married!
Shona & Jamie desided to get married at a spectacular venue; Woodhill Hall, Otterburn, Northumberland. It has lots of quirky features, including little tables built into the walls and a tin man in the courtyard. Shona and Jamie were only a few yards away from one another while getting ready for they big day!
They whole bridal prep was so relaxed and fun. The ladies were all in vibrant matching dressing gowns and had glass of fizz. Shona had made personalised vinyl stickers for each of her ladies and stuck them to the glasses. What a cool idea!
The bouquets were amazing and arranged by by Fleur Couture, in stunning vibrant colours that really stood out.
Shona's Mam helped her into her stunning dress made by Maggie Sottero from YAP Bridal Boutique.
When I arrived at groom prep they were all taking their time to do up their ties. Their suits from Ted Baker were very unique as they had a peacock feather design for the lining.
As the boys loved comic book superheroes, they all had to have themed cufflinks which looked super cool. (No pun intended, hehe!)
Shona's choice of sequin chair covers with hot pink sashes, from Fleur Couture, brought the room to life.
The ceremony was very emotional for both Jamie and Shona as they had been together for a long time and they finally tied the knot!
Jess, Jamie and Shona's dog came running down the aisle to greet the couple.
After the group photographs, we went wandering down the tree lined driveway to get some relaxed photographs.
The woodland inspired table decor was a great touch to the wedding and really fitted with the venue.
The gold charger plates from Fleur Couture added the wow factor to the table decor.
The cake made by the bride herself was a stunning creation. It was finished off with a golden glittery cake topped which said "always and forever".
The funky photo booth props were made by the bride's family.
After a few drinks the guys decided to hang out with the tin man!
During the first dance, Dylan, Jamie and Shona's son decide to make them a target by shooting foam bullets at them!
As I was about to leave, a rainbow appeared and I ran to get the bride and groom to get some gorgeous photos.
As Shona had taken her heels off, she had to quickly borrow her friends shoes to run outside.
Check out the sparkly raindrops!
Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Wells (& Dylan) on your marriage and amazing wedding!!
